Lot of two original portrait photographs of a Belgian sailor serving with the Royal Navy Section Belge during WWII. One photograph clearly shows the “BELGIUM” shoulder title on his uniform. The reverse of one photo bears handwritten references to Maurice, the Belgian Navy and the Royal Navy, although part of the inscription is difficult to read. The studio photograph was produced by R. A. Maine & Sons of Lincoln, England. An interesting small photographic lot relating to the Belgian naval presence in the Royal Navy during WWII.

Lot van twee originele portretfoto’s van een Belgische matroos die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog diende bij de Royal Navy Section Belge. Op één foto is de schoudertitel “BELGIUM” duidelijk zichtbaar. Op de achterzijde van een foto staan handgeschreven verwijzingen naar Maurice, de Belgische marine en de Royal Navy; een deel van de tekst is moeilijk leesbaar. De studiofoto werd gemaakt door R. A.
