RAF escape map 1943

A 1943 series silk map known as 'escape map'. Made by MI9 to help pilots and crew members escape after a possible crash in occupied territory. These maps were also secretly sent by MI9 to prisoner-of-war camps, hidden in hairbrushes, soap, or other innocuous items. This map consists of sheets A and E and shows large parts of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and the USSR. The map is in excellent condition. A great addition to any collection!
