Original WWII British-Made Wilkinson Sword USAAF - RAF Flak Vest

Extremely rare original WWII British-made Wilkinson Sword flak vest, made for the USAAF and also used by RAF.

This early type of body armour was manufactured in Great Britain by Wilkinson Sword for use by bomber crews operating against German flak. British-made examples were supplied to the USAAF and are considerably scarcer than the later American-produced versions.

This example is complete with the original lower abdominal apron, original canvas construction, metal hardware, suspension straps and the distinctive red quick-release ripcord. Marked with Broad Arrow and the letter N for 1943.

The vest shows genuine wartime use and age, with attractive patina.

A highly desirable and scarce piece of WWII aircrew equipment.
