Original WWII USAAF Type A-11 leather flight helmet, size Large, manufactured by Fox Chase Knitting Mills, Inc. (Miller Parachute Division). The original label is present and clearly marked “TYPE A-11”, Specification No. 3189, Size Large and “Property Air Forces U.S. Army”.
The helmet retains its original brown leather construction, chamois lining, black rubber ear cups and AAF insignia. Used condition with normal age-related wear and some wear to the leather straps and fittings.
