Original German Wehrmacht WWII Winter Wachstiefel, also known as “Elefantenstief

Heavy German winter boots made from thick felt with leather reinforcements, metal buckles and heavy soles. These boots were designed to be worn over the normal service boots during periods of extreme cold, providing additional insulation and protection against the harsh winter conditions.

This original pair retains its characteristic wartime construction, including the thick felt uppers, leather reinforcement strips and original buckle fasteners. The boots show honest age and service/storage wear.

A scarce and very distinctive piece of original German WWII winter equipment, particularly suitable for a Wehrmacht winter or Eastern Front display.
